As an inventor, scientist, statesman, author, businessman, and U.S. Founding Father, Benjamin Franklin can easily be considered a highly intelligent man. Franklin, who received five honorary university degrees (three of which were doctorates), only ever attended elementary school for two years! So, what made him so smart? The same question can be asked of another genius polymath, Leonardo da Vinci, who also never received a formal education. In addition to being self-taught and hardworking, these two men had a unique lifestyle practice known as mirror movement development (MMD), which made their brains abnormally symmetric and highly efficient. Another man who adopted this practice was Thomas Jefferson. Coincidently, both Franklin and Jefferson are referred to as the “Avatars of the Enlightenment” by author Walter Isaacson for their brilliance.
What is the MMD lifestyle practice?
What is the science behind it?
Who else has practiced it?
What are the benefits?
Learn about this brain & body self-improvement practice and its connection to Franklin, Da Vinci, Jefferson, and other famous luminaries from both history and today during this 90-minute walking tour. View the tour route
