Mirror reading is one of the most mentally transforming ways to practice mirror movement development (MMD). Benefits include growth of gray matter in the brain, increased spatial awareness, improved memory recollection, and may even be linked to the prevention/onset delay of conditions like Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. Learn all about the incredible benefits and study of mirror reading, thanks to the work of Dr. Shelagh Robinson.
You can also practice mirror reading from your computer, thanks to the MirrorRead.com browser tool found here.

You can also mirror read from a traditional book using a physical mirror. I’ve already ordered twice these shatter-proof flexible mirrors on Amazon because they’re SO good! They come in two size, each perfect for both smaller and larger books. Just hold the mirror at a 45-degree angle with the page you’re reading placed perpendicular to yourself and practice mirror reading! They also conveniently double as a book mark.
You can also get away with using the kind of mirror you can easily find at a dollar store. By safely removing any plastic edges from around the mirror, you can conveniently place the mirror flat inside your book. If you do this, MAKE SURE (for safety) to place your book/mirror inside a small plastic or canvas bag so that if the mirror breaks (and believe me, it occasionally will) you won’t have broken pieces of glass everywhere. For this reason, I strongly encourage ordering the shatter-proof flexible mirrors mentioned above. Mirror read on and enjoy the brain-balancing benefits!!
