Over 90 ambidextrous artworks dedicated to mirror movement development (MMD) were displayed inside one of San Diego’s best coffee shops: OB Beans Coffee Roasters (4879 Newport Ave. San Diego, CA 92107) from September through November 2024.
In this show, titled Mirror Mirror Body and Brain: What Neuroscience is Missing Today, attendees got to see what made Leonardo da Vinci, Benjamin Franklin, and more of history’s greatest thinkers, creatives, and athletes so unique. They also got to learn what Neuroscience (as well as Kinesiology and Education) is missing today from the study of MMD.
Closing reception and Book Signing was Sunday, November 10th, 2024 from 5pm to 8pm at OB Beans.
About the Artist
Jim Houliston is an ambidextrous artist, athlete, educator and author of the world’s first symmetric book – BIG3MMD: History’s Ambidextrous and the Benefits of Mirror Movement Development (MMD). Jim is also a bilingual tour guide in various cities, including San Diego, Tijuana, and Philadelphia.
His next goal is to open Theory Cafe; the world’s first coffee shop dedicated to MMD for the sake of neuroscience and kinesiology having more dual-dominant practitioners to study.
He is also interested in USA/Mexican binational relations, helping people with Church-related anxiety disorder (C-RAD), and mirror writing his thoughts on “fixing the world’s problems” and the end of times.
His major life goal is to get more left-handed handshakes than right-handed ones, so give him one when you meet him😁
