This exhibit features over 60 ambidextrous artworks, photos, educational graphics, and street art pieces dedicated to mirror movement development (MMD). Meet the artist, Jim Houliston, at the Closing Reception and Book Signing scheduled at the Carmel Valley Library on Tuesday, September 30th, 2025 at 6pm.
In this show, titled Mirror Mirror Body and Brain: What Neuroscience is Missing Today, learn what made Leonardo da Vinci, Benjamin Franklin, Lebron James, Jimi Hendrix, Rodney Mullen and more of history’s greatest thinkers, creatives, and athletes so physically and mentally unique. You’ll also learn what neuroscience (as well as kinesiology and general education) has been mostly missing for thousands of years in the areas of Peak Performance and Longevity from the study of Dual-Dominance (best closely understood culturally as Ambidexterity).

About the Artist
Jim Houliston is one of Earth’s most ambidextrous people. He is an artist, athlete, educator and author of the world’s first symmetric book, titled BIG3MMD: History’s Ambidextrous and the Benefits of Mirror Movement Development (MMD). He is also a bilingual, binational, bicoastal tour guide in various cities (mostly San Diego, Tijuana, and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania).
He desires working with research-driven universities to produce more dual-dominant practitioners for the sake of brain and body science understanding futher the benefits of MMD for longevity and peak performance.
His major life goal is to get more left-handed handshakes than right-handed ones, so give him one when you meet him on September 30th😁
