Young Da Vinci Comes to Philly

Science is starting to understand some cool stuff about the benefits of mirror reading! In fact, general mirror movement development (MMD) aligns the brain and body to increase balance, memory, athleticism, creativity, and burn calories. Both adults and kids can do it too!

Leonardo da Vinci and Benjamin Franklin practiced MMD since youth. Da Vinci was a mirror writer for 50 years (since his teens) and Franklin mirror read at work for 30 years, from age 12 to 42. Franklin’s essay, A Petition of the Left Hand, likely inspired Thomas Jefferson to continue practicing dual-dominance after an initial need for rehabilitation. Other practitioners include Lebron James, Cristiano Ronaldo, Rodney Mullen, Messi, Mickey Mantle, Gordie Howe, Houdini, Hippocrates, Queen Victoria, Tesla, Hendrix, Mozart, and Italian Renaissance men, like Michelangelo, Raphael, and Dante.

In this family-friendly, 1-hour free event, kids learn and practice cool exercises from MMD in chalk art, reading, and ball/disc play.

Looking forward to the fun in Philadelphia on Saturdays, June 10th and 24th, 2023!
